About Jahnavi

Jahnavi Prabhala is a Class of 2022 alumnus of William & Mary, where she studied Economics and Biology. Through the William & Mary Global Research Institute's Summer Fellows Program, Jahnavi collaborated with humanitarian partners to conduct field research on the Venezuelan migrant crisis in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2019. Upon returning to the United States, she mobilized support from humanitarian stakeholders to found and co-direct The Exodus Project, a research and advocacy lab that seeks to improve displaced peoples’ fragmented safety net. The Exodus Project’s inaugural research, based on Jahnavi’s field work in Colombia, aimed to create sustainable, data-driven reproductive healthcare infrastructures that supported female Venezuelan migrants in Colombia. Currently, Jahnavi is a clinical researcher within the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she continues to explore her interest in global health in low-resource settings. As an aspiring doctor, she hopes to create policy and medical innovations that aid communities facing scarcity and crisis.
